This poem was written by Jaidyn Vaugh, Dixie Decker’s Daughter. she has amazing wisdom at such a young age and so much courage. Dixie did a great job inspiring her and should be a very proud Mom.
Jaidyn wrote this when she was 13 and performed it at Dixie’s first event, when Jaidyn was only in the 8th grade.
She is now 15.
She also fully realized this week she will need to work 25 hours a week at a normal teenagers job to make $800 a month or she could own/lease out one student housing rental…and still Concentrate on school.
Take a listen to her recite her poem.
Failure and Success
Failure and Success
Failure represents your willpower to try,
It shows your ability to get back up again.
Failure is the first thing that people will see,
So make it the last thing they judge you by,
Your failures can become your successes.
Your success will lead others to your past experiences,
Leading them to visually see your past failures, All they will see is that even the greatest have fallen at some point,
And at one point you were not the greatest, but you are the one that kept trying.
Your failures can become your successes.
Success is being perfect on your very first try,
Success is looking past all 1,000 failed attempts
To get back up and try again and again and again,
To keep trying until you finally succeed and everyone knows your name
Your failures will, become your successes.
Yes when you fail you will have this horrible feeling of disappointment,
But you have to know this feeling to be able to overcome it,
That way when you finally do succeed you’ll be able to see the difference between failure and success.
Your failures will become your successes.
If you can picture it you can dream it
If you dream it you can become it
If you can become it, it will turn into your reality
Your Failures Can Become your successes.
I was going to say this sounds like an excellent analogy we must all experience to succeed… but really it’s not an analogy at all, but rather a reality. Fantastic Poem! Just my $0.02
