We Will See Professor
In 1963, I was in Seminary in California. One required course was Audio-Visuals, in which a project was to be completed. I told the professor I was going to build an overhead projector for my project. He laughed and exclaimed “I doubt if you can do that.” Well, I did, and my projector had more features than the store bought models. I used it to teach for years and even wrote a book on how to use one.
“Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.”
James A. Baldwin
The Worst Kind of Cancer
Too often when you challenge someone to perform a task, you get the reply “I can’t sir, I can’t!” I hear that often from couples who will not forgive each other. But “Can’t” usually means “won’t.” It is a flimsy excuse for lack of motivation, poor self-image, just plain laziness or rebellion. When our son was 12-years-old, I asked him to help me carry a sofa up the stairs from the basement. His reply: “I can’t lift it.” I removed my belt and said “I think you can.” It was amazing how fast the sofa went up the steps.

Impossible Defined
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ― Elna Baker
“The word impossible is not in my dictionary.” – Napoleon Bonaparte
Do It Anyway
When Henry Ford decided to produce his famous V-8 motor, he chose to build an engine with the entire eight cylinders cast in one block and instructed his engineers to produce a design for the engine. The design was placed on paper, but the engineers agreed, to a man, that it was simply impossible to cast an eight-cylinder engine-block in one piece. Ford replied, ”Produce it anyway.” They did.
“Impossible only means that you haven’t found the solution yet.” – Anonymous
Are You Extraordinary?
“Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible” ― Cherie Carter-Scott
“What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.” – Anthony Robbins
“You Have Not because You Ask Not”
That is what Jesus said. We forgo many blessings from our heavenly Father because we simply do not ask. Since you are reading this article, you have the availability to “Ask Ron” If you are floundering in your real estate venture, you just haven’t cashed in with the Guru. Impossible is not in his vocabulary! Swallow your pride, ask for help and accomplish what others are saying “Can’t Be Done.”
“To the timid and hesitating everything is impossible because it seems so.” – Sir Walter Scott
It Couldn’t Be Done
by Edgar Albert Guest
Somebody said that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it;”
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing
That “cannot be done,” and you’ll do it.
