Ron just celebrated his 75th birthday, and his sister Barbara had a few words say about the man who started Planet Ron so long ago. Read them below!
To Honor You Ron – Thank you for Being You
Ron, my brother, I have known you longer than anyone in your business realm. 62 years in fact, and it doesn’t make me feel any younger to know you are 75 today.
I grew up with you as a part of my life, watching you, following you, interacting with, and eventually working with you at times. I can’t say I could ever keep up with you though.
You were blessed with an over abundance of energy and brain power.
It makes my heart smile to see and know that you have enjoyed a good, productive, and purposeful life thus far, and that you have many goals yet to reach. I admire you for finding satisfaction in improving so many lives through your work, and it has inspired me greatly over all of these years.
I have made a list of things I admire about you and am grateful for, and a few things from our hearts. I say “our” because these observations are not mine alone, but I’m sure they are shared by so many of your students, business associates, and friends as well.
I’m going to read them in bullet form so I won’t be at it all night.
- You overcame all the obstacles.
- You pushed away all the fears.
- You always wore your armor.
- You hid all of your tears.
- You fought off all your foes.
- You never let a weak side show.
- You defeated all the odds.
- If it was tough for you, we would never know!
- You never put up with excuses.
- You never let anger take control.
- You were never ruled by emotions.
- You never got angry when people stole.
- You made it look so easy.
- You never lost your drive and quit.
- You never lost your discipline.
- You hung in there with unstoppable faith.
- You never lost hope when people disappointed you.
- You never lost faith in people when they used you.
- You never let anything keep you down.
- You never got bitter when people took advantage of you.
- You were never controlled by additions.
- You slayed all of your dragons.
- Even though it was rough, you never let it show!
- Now I have just a few things we would all like to say from our hearts.
- We admire your courage.
- We see your sacrifices.
- We commend you for finding your purpose.
- We respect your determination.
- We can’t believe your grit.
- We don’t know what mold you came from,
- But after you, it seems they broke it.
- We knew we could always count on you to be real.
- We marvel at your organization and stability.
We will cherish your leadership, wisdom, and your uncanny knack to show us there is always a solution and quitting is not an option.
We thank you for solving every problem that ever arose, you always had an answer.
We give you permission to slow down, a little, and savor the precious memories you created for yourself and so many others.
Thank you for “cutting out the crap”.
Thank you for putting up with all of our problems and fixing them.
Thank you for giving us the necessary kick in the butt even though it’s rough.
Thank you for not allowing us to waller in pity when we think it’s too tough.
Thank you for your relentless dedication to our success; preparing every article, teaching tirelessly, and continuing to care while building an empire, and for being unstoppable through all of your adversities.
We are so glad you did it your way because there will never be another you, and we could never fill your shoes!
Ron, please know on your 75th birthday, that we will all be forever grateful to you, for all that you have done, for all the lives that you have changed, especially ours, for all your hard work, for never giving up to make our lives better, and for fearlessly being uniquely you.
We will always love and believe in you Ron!

YEAH R O N ! When I decided to dive into REI, I came up with an “Avatar” and the first name that came to mind was Ron. Well..a couple of weeks later I came across your courses and immediately made sense that you brought so much value to anyone near you. I knew I had to join. I am completely satisfied making that decision and forever grateful ! More Life To Ron !
Hello Barbara,
Great poem on Ron. I just wish I had a sister as kind and considerate as you. But, no! My sister was mean to the day she died. Anyway, I wish Ron the best for now and in the future.
Bye for now,
Robert
